The medicinal use of Black Seed or Black Cumin Seed (Nigella Sativa) dates back many centuries. Black Seed was found inside King Tutankhamen’s tomb in Ancient Egypt and it is believed that Queen Nefertiti used it to anoint her skin.
This historical belief in the oil as a highly prized cure-all remedy has been substantiated by modern research which shows the seeds have a rich, diverse concentration of over 100 different chemical constituents, including 50% of polyunsaturated fatty acids, essential oils, vitamins, proteins and phytochemicals.
Amongst many of its potential benefits, black seed has been shown to decrease blood pressure, increase respiration, provide analgesic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory benefits.
